Held each October at Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills, it’s a good show and maybe worth the wait. But why wait if you don’t have to?

A relatively little-known series of affiliated teasers precedes each year’s Concours. This year there are three such gatherings to whet the automotive appetite. The locations tend to change each year, but each of those we’ve attended in the past has seemed a pleasant way to spend a summer evening. And, at no admission charge, we’d have to say that the price is right.

The 2018 Schedule includes the following venues.

June 12 North Ridge Country Club in Fair Oaks, California

July 10 Lincoln Hills Sun City in Lincoln, California

August 14 Arden Hills Club in Sacramento, California

Taste California Travel was among those in the media and car enthusiast community recently receiving notice of this year’s Raduno gatherings. Organizers explained these concours prelude events as follows:

“The Niello Concours Raduno is a gathering of motor car owners for an evening spent enjoying the art of the automobile. Join us for hosted light hors d'oeuvres, wine tasting and music. Dinner options available for purchase as well as a no host bar. If you are the owner of a motor car of significance please feel free to display it so all may enjoy. Your experience will be priceless, admission is free.

“ . . . We are now accepting entries for the 2018 Niello Concours at Serrano! This year we will be celebrating the Italian Marques and 65 Years of Corvette. As always, we will also have a fabulous display of the Classics.”
